Lina Adam holds a Master of Fine Arts from LASALLE College of the Arts, graduated in 2009. She has been a member of The Artists Village since 1998. She works mainly in performance and installation. She is the co-founder of Fetterfield, Singapore Performance Art Event and Your Mother Gallery.
Recently Lina Adam presented the Culinary History of Singapore Performance Art (2013). In this performance, Lina Adam offers a carefully created tasting of various foods, focusing on the gustatory system, the senses, high culinary skills and good company.
Fine ingredients have been selected from the history of performance art in Singapore. Works of art, especially performances, are rarely documented accurately. Lina Adam has made her selection of ingredients using information gained from her own recollections, word of mouth, conversations with friends and acquaintances, online research and private collections of catalogues, books and photographs.
The ten-course degustation menu will be accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation detailing the history of the ingredients and the references to the history of performance art in Singapore over more than twenty years.
